This family owned motel was a wonderful resting point on my journey. The owner was very accommodating and kind, going out of her way to meet me at the motel when I arrived. This is a family owned business, not saturated with the sterile vibe of corporate America. You can tell that heart and soul was put into this place. I also felt that the room was very clean and tidy. Support local businesses and stay here.
We have enjoyed our time together here. Clean and comfortable suite with an amazing hot tub.
It's an older motel, but it was clean, and the lady at the desk was very polite and professional. I never felt in danger from the other guests.
I have to say that this motel saved my life last Christmas. I got into a car accident and damaged the rear window of my car on Christmas Day. I planed to go back to Canada that day, but the historical snow storm and the car accident happened. People at a CVS gave me this motel address, this is the nearest place to stay. Thank God that I made the trip and found the motel. I called the number and had a room. The room was like from the 1990s, but I just survived a snowstorm and a car accident, I was so grateful to stay there. The next day I asked the front desk for a black garbage bag and some tapes to fix the damage window. The lady gave me the black tape which looked like I could use it for kidnapping. However, it’s not that strong! Anyway, thank God and the staff there for letting me find this motel on Christmas Day.
Rooms are great and comfortable, kind of close to the store but it's a good walk and the staff are friendly
Nice hotel at a reasonable rate. We arrived in town earlier than expected and they had no problem with us checking in early, which was nice as we had driven all night. The room was clean and the bed was alright. It appeared the bathroom was recently redone, it was very clean. Nice wood floors as well. The biggest 2 issues were the TV remote was finicky and so was the thermostat but not an overall big deal on those. The thermostat just read wrong, so at 65 it was nearly 80. The TV remote might have been batteries going dead. Can't blame the hotel for dead batteries. I would recommend staying if you have a reason to be in Gouverneur overnight.
Friendly staff, cozy rooms. Amenities are lacking but for the price what do you expect.
My daughter and I used to stay here at times, when we visited my husband. We love the little town and visit that area still when we can. The staff at the hotel were always so nice and accommodating. I do recommend this hotel!
